“Normal science, the activity in which most scientists inevitably spend almost all their time, is predicated on the assumption that the scientific community knows what the world is like.” Thomas Kuhn (1922 – 1996) was an American philosopher of science whose 1962 book The Structure of Scientific Revolutions remains vastly influential in both academic and popular circles.
