In this edition of Tuesday Trades, learn how traditional wheelwrights worked at a trade that stands near the foundations of civilization: the art of the wheel. The wheel was “invented” at some unknowable place and date more than 6,000 years ago. The spoked wheel crafted by wheelwrights was first developed some 2,000 years later. Colonial Williamsburg represents the largest and most diverse body of traditionally apprenticed, historical trades in the world. Join the live and archived “With the Wheelwrights” video here.
