Clothing was as important in the 18th century as it is today, important to the enslaved as well as to the free. Hope Wright is a veteran actor-interpreter at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, where she has served in a variety of roles over thirty years. Her special interest lies in uncovering the stories and exploring the history of Black people in early American times.
