ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY in 1775, Patrick Henry delivered his most famous speech during the Second Virginia Convention at St. John’s Church in Richmond. The proximity of British naval forces to Williamsburg had led the body of aspiring traitors to decide it was more prudent to meet farther inland.
