Based upon the 1901 novella Nastanirh ("The Broken Nest") by Rabindranath Tagore, Indian filmmaker Satyajit Ray’s exquisite 1964 story of a woman’s artistic and romantic yearning is set in late nineteenth-century, pre-independence India. It is a delicate tale of a marriage in jeopardy and a woman taking the first steps toward establishing her own voice. Please register in advance for this one-time online seminar. TIMES IN PST.
