One half the population of 18th century Williamsburg was African American. Today, Colonial Williamsburg hosts the oldest and largest African American Interpretation program in the country, as well as its largest program of traditional tradecrafts. The contributions of black tradespeople can be seen in literally every building in the preserved town. Join Journeyman Carpenter, Ayinde Martin, Apprentice Carpenter, Harold Caldwell, and Journeyman Coach Driver Adam Canaday as they take your questions while discussing those contributions HERE.
