What can we say we know with certainty? What does it mean to say that we know something? How do we know that we know? How does knowledge differ from belief? This series will include works from Plato, Aristotle, Empiricus, Descartes, Hume, Nietzsche, Russell, and Popper. We begin at the beginning, with the paradigmatic Platonic dialogue, “Meno,” introducing Socrates’ conception of knowledge as a form of remembering. Please register in advance for this one-time online seminar. TIMES IN PST.
