Please join this week’s Online Reading of Greek Tragedy with Euripides’ powerful drama of love, hatred, and revenge, “Medea.” The plot centers on a former princess of the "barbarian" kingdom of Colchis, wife to the Greek Jason, who finds her position in the Greek world threatened as Jason abandons her for a Greek princess of Corinth. Medea takes vengeance on Jason by murdering his new wife as well as her own children, at last escaping to Athens to start a new life. Hosted by Joel Christensen, with special guest Fiona Macintosh. Presented by the Harvard Center for Hellenic Studies, the Kosmos Society, and the Out of Chaos Theatre. Stream this live and archived video HERE.
