Founded in 1693, the College of William & Mary is well known as an intellectual and cultural center in Virginia. The university has also been an important political and social force for the past 300 years, both reflecting and giving shape to ideas of freedom, slavery, race, equality, and citizenship in Virginia and the nation. The Lemon Project: A Journey of Reconciliation exists to encourage a full examination of the university’s past and present relations to laborers, students, and faculty of color; and to build bridges to a better and more just future. Please register HERE for this important and timely springtime symposium.
